The Beijing Winter Olympic Villages were designed to be more than just temporary housing; they were crafted as a supportive and inspiring home for thousands of the world's top athletes and officials. With a project of this magnitude, the organizing committee required a smart building solution that could deliver unparalleled comfort, efficiency, and a modern living experience on a massive scale.

LifeSmart was chosen to provide a comprehensive smart home and building automation system, transforming 20 buildings and over 1,000 units into intelligent, responsive living spaces. Our mission was to create a seamless, intuitive, and energy-efficient environment that would allow athletes to focus on what matters most: their performance.

To meet these multifaceted demands, LifeSmart deployed a comprehensive smart home ecosystem where every device worked in harmony. At the core of the system, devices like the Nature 3 and Smart Butler Pro served as the central hub for each unit, providing a single, user-friendly interface for all controls. For the athletes' personalized comfort, we integrated our Air-conditioning Gateway and Stars Switches, which enabled granular control over climate and lighting. The inclusion of Light Strip Controllers and Light Strips allowed residents to create custom ambiance, ensuring their space was a relaxing retreat after a day of competition. To address the need for sustainability and efficiency, the system was engineered with automation in mind. Cube Motion Sensors and Smart Plugs were used to automate lighting and power, ensuring that electricity was only consumed when a room was occupied, significantly reducing the villages' overall energy footprint.
